The use of these is being referred to Motorsport UK, but in the interim they have been banned by the ALRC when they provide a live feed to the crew, with immediate effect, details here. Gopro’s etc that are used to record and then viewed later are still ok, so long as they are properly secured as per J5.21 of the Blue Book. The use of rear facing cameras in lieu of a mirror remain unaffected.
