Its Annual General Meeting time again, 21st March 7:45pm. This is your chance to have a say in how your club is run. Everyone should have received an email similar to the below, check your junk folders if you haven’t got it…. Please go to the members area of the website to find all the paperwork regarding the AGM. The new password was sent out with your membership cards. Please get in touch if you are having problems accessing the page. We have some rule change proposals to go through, mainly formalising what we already do. There are also a couple of discussion point listed on the agenda. In particular we need nominations for the Ron Atkins Trophy. This is for someone, not committee, who has put a lot of effort and help into the club over the past year. It can only be awarded once to any individual, there is a list of previous winners on the form. There is an on-line form, link in the email. If anyone is planning on arriving early and having a meal there prior to the meeting it requires booking in advance, please contact the venue direct.
The meeting day is also World Down’s syndrome Day. This is marked by asking people to wear odd socks for the day, amongst other things. For every person attending the AGM with odd socks a donation will be made, by an involved member, to a Down’s relevant charity. So lets see if we can get a full house of odd socks for this worthwhile cause. Hope to see many of you there.
